Day one of Bacardi Miami Sailing Week 2011 for the sport boats only allowed for one race due to major thunderstorms that moved through Biscayne Bay. I made it out to the Viper course and had a chance to take in the action there. Enjoy the full gallery of Viper Racing on Sail22Photography.com! I’ll add more photos to the gallery from the regatta for the Vipers and will be adding other galleries for the other classes. Hopefully tomorrow, there will be plenty of racing on all of the courses!
Sail22 is on the Division 2 Race Course and updating on Sailing Updates all week and taking photos. Here are links to the Photo Galleries for the Melges 24, Melges 32 & J105 class galleries. I’ll be adding more throughout the event.
Sail22 is in Key West gearing up for Key West Race Week 2011 and it’s breeze on today. A bit chilly today, but the forecast is looking great for next week! Ed and I will be out on the Melges 24 and Melges 32 race course with LIVE racing updates on Sailing Updates. Have you had a chance to check it out yet? We’ve had visitors from 52 countries stop by!
Where are you from? Do you follow from work? Home? On the Go? What kind os sponsors are you interested in? Let us know some information to help us continue to improve Sailing Updates. After all, we’re doing it for you!
Here’s some of the feedback we’re heard so far:
-Thanks! Keep up the great work. I’m happily following along while trying to work from my desk here in San Diego.
-Sailing Updates Crew: Thanks for the great coverage!
-I have been really enjoying the updates throughout the day. You have done a great job describing the action as it happens. Wish I were out there and other than live video coverage, this is the next best thing! Keep up the great work.
-Thank you! From the one at home (someone’s gotta keeping those home fires burning) I love the updates and I thank you for providing them. The descriptions are great. Keep it up! Next best thing to being there (kinda).
We are very excited for the upcoming Melges 32 Gold Cup this week and will be doing our live coverage on Sailing Updates and of course our Sail22 photography of these fast & fun boats. Please check out all of our great sponsors who are helping to make this coverage possible and let them know how much you appreciate their sponsorship of Sailing Updates for the Melges 32 Gold Cup. We wouldn’t be there without the generous support of Point Loma Outfitting, Hillman Capital Management, New England Ropes, Gorilla Rigging, Atlantic Yacht Rigging and McConaghy Boats McConaghy 38. We also thank the Melges 32 Class for working with us to make it possible as well.
To get you in the Melges mood, check out some photos from last year’s Melges 32 Gold Cup here!
