I was fortunate to sail with a great team this weekend in Chicago for the In-Shore and we had a great weekend. On the first day, we finished with 3 firsts and on day 2, we had 2 thirds to clinch the win in the Melges 24 Class. Convexity also was honored with First Overall as well!
We had great crew dynamics on the boat, with Jen doing an awesome job on the helm, Krista Paxton working the traveler, etc., Payson Infelise calling tactics and trimming jib and Mory Matias doing an awesome job with the kite in VERY breezy conditons (18-25+ knots)! I had great back up on the bow from Payson as well.
We were lucky to spend most of the month of July at the home base of Sail22 in Culver, Indiana. I have been visiting Culver for most of the summer and Ed has been really enjoying being home. We have been busy though, but it’s so nice to work from “home”! Ed’s sister, Megan has joined our Sail22 Team to help us keep up with things. We are excited to have her working with us.
We are back on the road again with our late Summer and Fall looking very busy and some very exciting news coming on the Sail22 front!
