Newport Shipyard RC 44
I have to say, one of my favorite places to visit in Newport, RI is the Newport Shipyard. You never know what you’re going to find there and there are always beautiful boats to look at.
We’ve heard a lot about the Russell Coutts 44′s for awhile, but never had the chance to see the boat in person. The cool thing about this boat is the way it’s designed for shipping. Not to mention, it’s a sweet all carbon match racing boat!
Santa Maria Cup Pro-Am
We headed to Annapolis to support the Santa Maria Cup with their Pro-Am regatta that was supposed to take place on Tuesday in J22′s. The event was to allow the girls to practice prior to the match racing began by racing against supporting businesses. Unfortunately, due to too much breeze, the race committee called off the event. We had a good time catching up with the teams we knew and meeting some other teams. Click here for details on the Santa Maria Cup racing this week.
