DAY 2 MELGES 24 WORLDS 2009 REPORT
Day 2 of the Melges 24 Worlds 2009 was chilly, wet and breezy initially, but died off as the day when on. Uka Uka won the first race of the day, with Bill Hardesty’s team, Event’s Clothing/Atlantis in second, JoeFly in third and the Norwegians on Full Medal Jacket fourth and Full Throttle in fifth. Between yesterdays races, the breeze died down and teams waited for about an hour until the start of race four in the series. JoeFly won the second race of the day, with Uka Uka having a much better day and finishing second. Peter Lane on Brickhouse 539 was third, Chris Larson’s West Marine Rigging/New England Ropes was fourth and Fantastica was fifth.
The current overall standings have Chris Larson on West Marine Rigging/New England Ropes in first, JoeFly in second, Bill Hardesty’s Events Clothing/Atlantis in third, Full Throttle in fourth and Guillisara in fifth. Full results are available here.
