MELGES 32 GOLD CUP: ROUGAROU LEADS DAY 1

Andy Lovell’s Rougarou leads after 3 races on Day 1 of the 2009 Melges 32 Gold Cup hosted by Lauderdale Yacht Club. The day started off slowly with the fleet being under postponement until a nice breeze of 6-10 knots filled in later in the afternoon. Rod Jabin’s Ramrod lead the first race of the day and finished third overall, while John Taylor’s Ninkasi was second overall for the day with consistent sailing in all of the races.
